Looking back upon my past, life is like a kick in the ass.
Treated like I have no class. Never first but always last.
When my life comes to an end, I’ll leave hell and go back again.
I’ll be gone but I don’t know when. I’ll be alone b’cuz I have no friends.
Now I lay me down to sleep, as I die, no one will weep.
When I die before I wake, bake my mom a party cake.
No need to bury me six feet down, It’ll just force me to hang around.
Bury old memories in the ground, so nothings left to be found
For all you posers I have no pity. Life only sucks cuz your so shitty.
My mentality is not so witty, At least I can say that I’M NO IDIOT.
The End is Near, rejoice it’s arrival
It keeps me from being suicidal
The End is Near, so says the bible.
Lower my chances for survival.
about
No Atlanta punk record from the 1980s creates such a lather as the debut single by DDT (except maybe Neon Christ's single, but I digress). Self released in 1983, merely finding a copy would put you into serious debt. That is, until now. Audio was restored by Jason NeSmith at Chase Park from a spotless copy of the record given to Chunklet by Joe Perry who recorded the single at his Bombay Studios in Smyrna. Never before reissued until right now. Get in on the ground floor of Atlanta's punk scene from 40 years ago. (As featured on Killed by Death 4)
Special thanx to: Jan Dykes for playing bass on this record, Skot Gibson, Ray Kroc, WRAS, WRFG, The Restraints, Chelsea, Black Flag, Ism, and anyone else who has supported us or HC in Atlanta.
