A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Very Steve Reich with more uptempo instrumentation (love the double bass). Beautifully hypnotic but perfectly urgent so quite DnB in feel. Not a duff moment / second. rupert1971

The third part of Prefuse 73's 2015 triptych (if you haven't given "Forsyth Gardens" and "Rivington Nao Rio" a spin yet, then do so without further delay) isn't quite the lightless affair you might expect from its title, but in terms of oblique, glitchy strangeness, "Every Color Of Darkness" has more than enough to offer. Guillermo Scott Herren's creative juices must have been flowing in torrents when he conceived this trilogy. More power to his wellspring. Nic Brown
